About Morgan Tyler
Nashville recording artist Morgan Tyler has country music rooted deep in his blood. The singer songwriter hails from South Mississippi and prides himself on playing his own unique brand of alternative country music. This talented singer songwriter fronted the band “Cloud 9” as a lead singer, and even showed his musical talent by playing lead guitar for the Cody Breland Project. Morgan is hard at work and is currently actively touring the Southeastern United States. The guys of Morgan Tyler have been the opening act for many big time artists like HARDY, Whiskey Meyers, Jamey Johnson, The Red Clay Strays, Bones Owens, Red Shahan, and Blackberry Smoke to name a few. In 2019, he recorded with producer Ryan Youmans at his Nashville studio “Amber Sound.” Youmans has produced many projects including songs by well known artists like Muscadine Bloodline, Jelly Roll, Ray Fulcher, Jordan Fletcher, and many more! In 2019, Morgan’s debut single “Let the Backroad Take Us” was released and reached top 100 on iTunes country charts as well as reaching #5 on the OZ Country Thunder charts in Australia! In 2022, Morgan won a Covey award for Best Country Band on the Gulf Coast! In 2019, Morgan was nominated for Mississippi Songwriter of the Year and named K99 FM Homegrown Country Winner! Born of One-Nighters
Starting out, the idea of living the road band life was on our minds. We realized the only way for us to evolve as a band was to hit the road. Over the next five years, we logged hundreds of gigs — with the occasional festival appearance — in cities across the Southeastern United States. Our time on the road proved crucial in shaping our sound.
Looking to the Future
We’re packing up the gear for a continuous tour in support of our upcoming album. Our set list will feature the new stuff from the album but also dive into your all-time favorites from today's hits and the oldies radio hits. Check out our tour page for when we’ll be playing near you.
